After a long hiatus, Weekly Bites is back! This week’s is on Patience (Sabr). Most of us are going through the examinations right now and probably feel frustrated and disappointed. Hence may this serve as a good reminder to us to be in constant remembrance of Allah despite our trials and challenges, insyaAllah!
This week’s bite is on friendship. All of us are humans, and as humans, we need friends as support in our daily lives, but how do we go about surrounding ourselves with friends that are good for us? Read on more to find out!
This week’s bite is about Zuhud! Zuhud is detaching ourselves from worldly possessions, and using them instead as a means to get closer to Allah swt rather than making it our goal. InsyaAllah, may we all strive to be better Muslims and practice Zuhud in our daily lives(:
This week’s bite is about our Niyyah, or intention.
“Say, Whether you conceal what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knows it. And He knows that which is in the heavens and that which is on the earth. And Allah is over all things competent.” [3:29]
We hope that this bite serves as a motivation to us to purify our niyyah in every action that we do, insyaAllah.
This week’s bite is about Loving our Parents! Often, as students, we get too busy with our personal agendas and it’s easy to neglect spending quality time with our parents. May this remind us to be a better child and pray for our parents who have sacrificed so much for us(:
WEEKLY BITES is presented to you by NTUMS. It’s a weekly publication that allow our brothers and sisters to share their experiences and knowledge with all. Enjoy reading and may this sharing benefit all in one way or another, inshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah! The Weekly Bites on the Final Khalifah amongst the Khulafa Ar-Rashidin is finally here!
Masya Allah, what a great man he was. He exhibited a quality even our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. advocated, in a time of war. A quality that we as Muslims should all embrace. The quality of self-control.
